Are you ready to see your kid’s dreams take flight this summer?
I am thrilled to announce that I am offering a full scholarship for one local student to attend the Plainwell Aviation STEM Academy (PASA) summer camp! This isn’t just a “sit and watch” camp. This is a hands-on, throttle-forward experience where students in grades 6 through 12 learn what it actually takes to fly.
I don’t just support this program as a pilot and business owner—I’ve seen the impact firsthand. My son attended this camp and absolutely loved it. Seeing the spark it lit in him is exactly why I want to give another student this same opportunity. It is a game-changer for any young person interested in the sky. Personally I did a intro flight at 15 years old, fell in love with aviation – got my pilots license when I turned 17, attended Western Michigan Universities School of Aviation and all that lead to me building my own airplane! Which you can watch the build on YouTube!
Located right here at the Plainwell Airport, this camp splits the day between the classroom and the cockpit:
The scholarship winner can choose from one of the following three sessions:

Aviation builds confidence, discipline, and a brand-new perspective on the world. I want to help a local student experience that “first flight” feeling without the $650 cost standing in the way.
To enter, students must:
Fill out the application form (link below).
Submit a short essay telling us why they want to learn to fly and why they should be chosen for this scholarship.
DO NOT WAIT! The first camp deadline is June 15th, and we want to get our winner registered early.
