Meet The Pets

Here at Treadstone we love our fur babies!

Echo & Luna

We like to call Echo lazy Grey. This Old English Bulldog does more sleeping than anything else. A quick trip around the block and she’s beat. She would much prefer a ride in the golf cart or trip around the lake in the boat over a walk. She loves coming into Kalamazoo Treadstone office to visit with everyone! Check out the Grey Dog on Instagram

Luna is the polar opposite of her sister.  She’s a high energy mini Aussie and runs circles around lazy Grey.  She loves coming into the office and the neighbors clients frequently stop by to give her some pets.

Charlie

Charlie, a sleek hunter at heart, spends her mornings stationed by the window, laser-focused on the unsuspecting chipmunks frolicking in the yard. She’s a “flight not fight” kind of feline, and wouldn’t hesitate to run away at the smallest noise. Her mornings have another ritual: a gentle (or not so gentle, depending on her mood) head nudge to Bob’s hand, a surefire way to ensure breakfast isn’t a moment too late.

Willow

Hi, my name is Willow. I am a Maltese mix – 46% Maltese, 29% Chihuahua (totally explains my attitude!), 25% “other” and I’m 100% spoiled! My mama says I’m a sweetie, so I’ve really got her fooled. I love to play fetch, make friends at the dog park, ride on the back of the tricycle with my mama (nose in the wind!), and I love to snuggle. I know I’ve got it good here, so I’m going to keep being the bestest girl…I’m a people-pleaser for sure – or maybe I just like the treats!

Maddie, Harley, Kona, & Gus Gus

Maddie (Black Lab) –  loves adventures!

Harley (St Bernard Husky) – most happy when she’s riding in the Jeep with the top down!

Kona & Gus Gus (parakeet) – think they dogs – they love to play with the dog toys!

Puck, Unix, & New Cat

Hi, I’m Puck the “Puckster”  I am always eager to run outside….and yes, I have spent many a night out there, but I always come back after frolicking in the neighborhood.

Hello, I am shy Unix, but my humans call me “Uni” for short.  Try to catch me if you can, I only let you pet me when I am ready, and that’s usually when hungry. I was rescued from a shelter for Christmas because my little human said, “ I am going to rescue that kitty right there”.

Hey! I’m “new cat”, or “no name cat”.  My little human has named me “Teto”, but I do not respond to any of those names.  My human mom found me abandoned at the Walgreens parking lot and took me home to love.  I am very playful with my new brother Puck.  Brushing and lounging are my two favorite things to do then terrorize the family as I run around the house in the early morning hours. Oh Yeah, mom says if I don’t stop eating her plants, I may become an outside Cat. ☹

Charlie

Even now, months later, a quiet sadness settles over James whenever he thinks of Charlie. The vibrant energy Charlie brought to his life, the goofy antics, the comforting presence curled at his feet – those memories are still so vivid, making the silence in the house feel even louder. He misses his best friend more than words can say.

Unlocking Homeownership: Supporting Loved Ones with the Family Opportunity Mortgage Program

For many, the dream of homeownership remains a significant milestone. But what if you could help a close family member achieve that dream, even if they face financial hurdles? The Family Opportunity Mortgage Program, often referred to as the Family Assist Program, is a specialized mortgage solution designed to do just that – empower families to support loved ones in purchasing a home.

What is the Family Opportunity Mortgage Program?

This unique program was created to address a common challenge: families who want to assist elderly parents, adult children with disabilities, or other qualifying relatives in buying a home, but where the assisting family member might not be able to occupy the home themselves, or where the assisted family member faces challenges meeting traditional mortgage qualifications alone. It essentially allows family members to secure financing for a loved one’s primary residence, often with more favorable terms than a standard investment property loan.
